Add la Thuile to your list of must visit mountain bike holiday destinations. And get there before everyone else does.

With easily waymarked, well looked after, purpose-built singletrack this is alpine mountain biking at it’s best. Take the lift up, choose from one of the many graded trails, ride down and then head back up on the lift.

With 220 km of numbered, well-looked after runs there's plenty of mountain biking to keep you busy for a week or weekend. We couldn't believe it when we stumbled on this quiet resort with so much easily accessible riding. Even more amazing was how few other bikers we saw. Off the radar of most bikers, this is the biking destination to get to now.

The lifts shut over lunch, so take advantage of this to sit in the sun, taking your time over pizza or pasta with the locals.

For non riders there's trekking, fishing, thermal baths, swimming, or simply sitting in the sun digesting the last amazing Italian meal.
