Morzine Lifts

We like the lifts. They make it easy to get to the tops of the mountains! 2011 dates aren't fully confirmed so we'll get more details as soon as we can, but the full area is definitely open from the 24th June, and we have advance warning that lifts will be remaining open a week longer than previously - to the 4th September.

If you want as many lifts open as possible come in July or August, if you prefer quieter trails and are happy to do some pedaling (plus a few minibus uplifts) try June or September. A lot of our favourite trails involve a bit of climbing, and we reckon it’s worth it to get away from the crowds and find the best singletrack.

2011 Provisional Lift Opening Dates

• June 11th - Pleney lift in Morzine, Chavannes Express, L'Express du Nauchets and Mont Chery lifts open in Les Gets
• June 24th - Full area lifts open in the whole Portes du Soleil area (Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz, Chatel, Morgins, Les Crosets). Chatel also opens the weekends of 12/13 & 19/20 June and 3/4/5 & 10/11/12 September.
• Sept 4th - Full area lifts close, Morzine and Les Gets remains open
  
• Sept 11th - Morzine and Les Gets limited lifts close

The Passeportes event will be over the 24-26th June this year, with the main exhibiton being in Les Gets.
