Finding good quality accommodation for the Alpe d'Huez Megavalanche is no easy task, but we reckon we've found the perfect bikers haunt in Le Chamois.

The flowmtb Megavalanche hotel is in the old section of the town known as "vieil alpe" and this traditional feel is carried through the hotel to the rooms which are simple, light and airy, but comfortable with a rustic style.

It is well situated for all the amenities of the town, just a short walk to the shops and sports centre, plus the Grandes Rousses lift. And hence, to the registration for the races, and all the events during the week.

Most of the rooms are en suite and most are south facing, many of them having a balcony. There are a selection of twin rooms, doubles, triples and quads to choose from.

Meals will be served in The Grove restaurant which is situated on the first floor and has a sun terrace leading off it.

If you're coming out alone then the flowmtb Megavalanche hotel is the perfect place to stay. Last year we had as many guests coming out individually as in groups. People hooked up to ride together during the day; and meals are provided in the evening, offering the perfect way to get to know each other and sort out the next day's ride. flowmtb staff will be on hand to help with any info you need on registering or where to ride.

Accommodation is offered from the 5-12 July, with the possibility to add longer stays on or have a slightly shorter stay.
